Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel – Review

Having a light and hydrating eye cream/gel in your everyday routine will help ensure that your eyes remain youthful for as long as possible.  I find that a lot of people have little bumps around their eyes called milia and don’t understand why.  There are a few things to keep in mind when you are applying products on your face.  You should never apply face cream/lotion around your eyes and do not use a heavy cream if you know you are prone to developing milia around your eyes.  Try to avoid aggressive chemicals, picking at it with your hands, rough pillow cases, and sun exposure.  The skin around our eye is extremely sensitive and must be dealt with the utmost care.  If it has not gone away in a few months and have gotten worse please consult your family physician.

I’ve used this soothing-eye-gel for a couple of months and I must say that it does keep the puffiness down and brightens the eyes.  It contains organic cucumbers, green tea, chamomile, and dead sea minerals.  It’s very gentle and I have not experienced any sensitivity around my eyes.  I use this during the day time and sometimes at night.  This product can be purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart for around $20.

Kerastase Product Training~~ Week 9

This week I attended product training by Kerastase held at the Vancouver Fairmont Hotel.  They served complimentary breakfast and lunch.  It was really fun since I went with my class and even won some products!

I’ve only been studying for a short couple months and already benefited greatly by receiving free products and training.  So far, I love Kerastase products, I won a Chroma Riche package with shampoo, mask, and leave-in treatment.  I shared my winnings with a good friend and so far we both love the products!  Before school, I never felt a great difference between hair products because I mainly used drug-store brands.  Since I started using salon and professional brands I can’t believe the difference.  My hair is softer, healthier, and shinier.

Last week, we did a lot of cutting and highlights.  We’ll be cutting on real clients soon!  >.< Nervous……

Gee…that was quick! by Benefit

I love the name of this make-up remover, it’s absolutely hilarious!  It doesn’t work for waterproof make-up which is a bummer because I love wearing waterproof mascara.  When you wear non-waterproof make-up, it works great.  The scent is very light and gentle and does not strip your skin of its moisture.  Give it a try, it’s not too pricey and a good product to have on top of your vanity table because it’s so cute.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record but remember to always wash your face after with a cleanser and follow with your skin care routine.  Make-up remover does not substitute for a cleanser.

Fix your large pores, fine lines, and uneven skin tone fast!

This effective and strong toner is for combination to oily skin types.  If you have sensitive skin, I do not recommend you use this product.  I have been using this for many years and to this day, I still love it.  I often have little imperfections on my skin and this always satisfies my need to get rid of them.  For blackheads, I saturate a cotton pad with this toner and place it on top of my nose treating it for a couple of minutes.  You will feel some sensitivity to the product.  I have tested this product on others besides myself, and one friend in particular diminished pores on her nose by at least by 80 percent!

Another good way to use this product is to maintain the smoothness of your underarms.  Maintaining your skin after hair epilation is vital because the skin will become bumpy, dry, or darkened.  After your shower or bath, soak a cotton pad and after patting on the product wipe it off with the other side of the cotton.  It really takes little to no time but pays off big time.  Say good-bye to in-grown hair and bumpy skin!

Even though the instructions say that you can use this everyday, I do not recommend it unless you are okay with your skin peeling.  Reduce frequency of use if you find that your skin is drying and peeling.  I find that this really helps with fine lines on my forehead.  This is a great toner for anti-aging!

Do not ever use this close to your eyes or mouth.

If you decide to use this product, make sure you wear sunscreen because your skin will be sensitive to the sun.  If you have pale skin, you will be prone to sunburns so protect your skin.  I protect my skin everyday before stepping outside so it’s nothing new to me but if you’re not used to using sunscreen or BB cream you may want to consider starting, because many products on the market now contain Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA).   The smell may be a little strong of chemical so test the product before buying.

Kanebo Naive Peach Foam Cleanser

One of my face wash ran out so to replace it I decided to buy Kanebo Peach Cleansing Foam.  This can be found at your local grocery store.  I bought mine at T&T Supermarket.  The tube is filled with a very thick cream cleanser but when lathered with water a very fluffy foam can be created.  The scent really isn’t all that peachy.  Still, it’s very reasonably priced and cleans very well.  My skin isn’t dry or extremely tight after.

A great cleanser for combination skin and sensitive skin.  It may not be moisturizing enough for dry skin and not acne controlling enough for oily skin.
