Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel – Review

Having a light and hydrating eye cream/gel in your everyday routine will help ensure that your eyes remain youthful for as long as possible.  I find that a lot of people have little bumps around their eyes called milia and don’t understand why.  There are a few things to keep in mind when you are applying products on your face.  You should never apply face cream/lotion around your eyes and do not use a heavy cream if you know you are prone to developing milia around your eyes.  Try to avoid aggressive chemicals, picking at it with your hands, rough pillow cases, and sun exposure.  The skin around our eye is extremely sensitive and must be dealt with the utmost care.  If it has not gone away in a few months and have gotten worse please consult your family physician.

I’ve used this soothing-eye-gel for a couple of months and I must say that it does keep the puffiness down and brightens the eyes.  It contains organic cucumbers, green tea, chamomile, and dead sea minerals.  It’s very gentle and I have not experienced any sensitivity around my eyes.  I use this during the day time and sometimes at night.  This product can be purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart for around $20.

Shu Uemura High Performance Balance Cleansing Oil

I’ve always had slightly oily skin and when I used to always hear people using cleansing oil, it’d send shivers down my spine.  To my surprise, it’s now one of my favorite face cleansers!  I only need 1-2 pumps and apply it evenly all over my face, then emulsify with a bit of water then rinse off.  ALL of my make-up would just melt off my face which saves me time and money on the make up remover.  The price is a little steep but if you buy the larger bottle it’s a better deal.

I haven’t had any problems with break-outs since I started using this, in fact, my skin has improved because it regulates my skin and cleanses gently without stripping all the good stuff.

Kerastase Product Training~~ Week 9

This week I attended product training by Kerastase held at the Vancouver Fairmont Hotel.  They served complimentary breakfast and lunch.  It was really fun since I went with my class and even won some products!

I’ve only been studying for a short couple months and already benefited greatly by receiving free products and training.  So far, I love Kerastase products, I won a Chroma Riche package with shampoo, mask, and leave-in treatment.  I shared my winnings with a good friend and so far we both love the products!  Before school, I never felt a great difference between hair products because I mainly used drug-store brands.  Since I started using salon and professional brands I can’t believe the difference.  My hair is softer, healthier, and shinier.

Last week, we did a lot of cutting and highlights.  We’ll be cutting on real clients soon!  >.< Nervous……

Marc Anthony Moisture Gloss

My hair is colored, permed, and thin so I need lots of moisture or else it’ll tangle and frizz.  Serums or oils that are too heavy will make my hair appear greasy and glued to my head.  Marc Anthony’s Moisture Gloss provides a light and quick fix for unruly hair for under $10.

Depending on the length of your hair, pump an appropriate amount onto your palm and rub palms together then run your fingers through your towel dried hair focusing on the ends since it’s dryer there.  Like any other hair serum or oil, do not focus on the crown of your head.

The scent of this gloss is sweet and delicious.  You can apply this serum throughout the day to control your frizz.  While you moisturize you can control the frizz and extend the life of your hair color.  I don’t know what it does for me long-term but I’ll update in a couple of weeks.

Chanel Precision Hydramax + Teinte SPF 15

Tinted moisturizers are a must have in every girl’s skin care routine because it’s the easiest way to achieve beautiful and natural skin without looking like you’re wearing any make up at all.  Plus, most of them have SPF 15+ in them so you can skip the sun block.

The one that matched my skin best was in 10 Sable.  The texture was very moist and easy to apply.  When you are in doubt as to how much you need always start with a small pea-size amount because it’s easier to control that way, plus because this product is a high end product, I like to make sure they last as long as possible.

This is what the skin looks like after application.  Smooth, healthy, and hydrated.  The coverage is very little but does change the overall appearance of your skin.  The product blends so well into your skin that it feels like you’re wearing nothing at all!

This is a great product!  Not only does it smell nice, the moisturizer isn’t too heavy and has not caused me to break out.  It’s great for all those in between days when your skin needs a break or girls who enjoy being au natural.  This bottle lasted me about 6 months but I did not use it everyday.

Remember to finish the look with some loose powder and curled lashes.

I do not recommend this for people who are sensitive to fragrances because it’s pretty strong-smelling.
